Description

Parmesan Bread Bites are soft, flavorful bread pieces made from pizza dough, brushed with a savory garlic butter, and sprinkled generously with parmesan cheese and Italian herbs, perfect for dipping in marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough (store bought or homemade)
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 5 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dried parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 12x9 inches.
  2. Cut the Dough: Slice the dough into 1-inch squares or bite-sized pieces and place them on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic (or garlic powder), salt, dried parsley, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine.
  4. Brush and Sprinkle: Brush each dough piece generously with the garlic butter mixture. Then sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the top of all pieces.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the bread bites for 15 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use store-bought pizza dough for convenience or homemade dough for a fresher taste.
  • If fresh garlic isn’t available, garlic powder works as a good substitute.
  • You can swap Italian seasoning with dried oregano or basil based on preference.
  • Brush the bites again with butter after baking for extra richness if desired.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture; leftover bites can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.
