Description

These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender sirloin steak pieces seared to golden perfection and tossed in a rich, garlicky butter sauce. Perfect for a delicious dinner or an impressive appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • pound sirloin steak, cut into bite size pieces
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper, or to taste

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and sear steak: Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat. Ensure the oil is hot before adding the steak pieces. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. Cook without stirring for 2 minutes to get a good sear.
  2. Cook until golden brown: Stir the steak pieces and continue cooking for another 2 minutes until they are golden brown on all sides. If the skillet is small, cook the steak in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  3. Remove steak and prepare garlic butter: Transfer the cooked steak bites to a plate. Reduce the heat to medium in the same skillet and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
  4. Sauté garlic and combine: Cook the garlic and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds while stirring, until the garlic becomes aromatic and begins to brown.
  5. Toss steak in garlic butter and serve: Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites, toss well to combine, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a heavy skillet such as cast iron for best searing results.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan when searing the steak to ensure proper browning.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level or omit if sensitive to heat.
  • Fresh parsley adds a bright, fresh flavor and color contrast when garnishing.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.
